electronic ignition system for Yamaha RD350 TZ350 (racing ignition)
Magneto with solid state racing ignition for classic Yamaha RD250E (1978), RD400E (1979), RD250F, RD400F and TZ350 Sport, rotor fastened with a nut.
Highspeed (up to 22.000rpm) magnet based solid state ignition for vintage bike racing applications.
At 18.000rpm (i.e. 36.000 sparks/min) still 25 kV output. (3.000-8.000 rpm = 40 kV, see diagram). Diameter of rotor is 59mm, rotor weight is 180 gramms.
Replaces such systems as Motoplat, Hitachi, Fensatronic and Kröber.
No changes on engine housing necessary.
Note:
- No lighting provided, ignition only ! (No lights - no use on public roads, consult your national regulations)
- early RD and very first LC TZ with shaft that retains rotor by screw will require system 71 02 599 00.
- LC RDs produced after 1985 may have a longer shaft and require system 71 13 599 00.
