Electronic ignition system for Victoria FM 38 / FM 38 L (bicycle engine)

Magnet based generator with integrated, maintenance free solid state ignition, output 6V/18W AC, System does not need any regulator.
This system carries alternating current only (AC) and can therefore not load any battery or drive side indicators.

Notes for installation:

A hole in the motor housing must be widened for the wiring harness.
The radius of the housing surface and the chamfer of the stator base plate might to be adjusted, the plate must lie flat and free of tension.
The often dented engine cover, has to be reworked, if necessary, so that it does not touch the rotor when it is in place.
The ignition coil must be installed outside the engine.

Our lighting kit must be installed to operate the lighting of the bike.
The ignition system delivers 18 watts, too much for the front and rear lights with just 3 watts.
With stronger bulbs and a load resistor, however, the performance can be tamed.
