Electronic ignition system for Yamaha DT 100 / 125 / 175
Solid state ignition for Yamaha DT 100 / 125 / 175, years 1974 - about 1979.
With factory magneto-type ignition plate 120mm, fastened with 2 screws, ignition on left side of engine, magneto is held to crankshaft by nut, clutch mechanism on top of engine.
Compatible for these types:
- Yamaha DT100 Twin Shock 1974-83
- Yamaha DT125 Twin Shock without factory electric start (120mm stator, Europe only) 1974-on (confirmed to 1979)
- Yamaha DT125 and DT175 Monoshock 1977-on (confirmed to 1981)
- Yamaha DT175 Twin Shock 1974-on
- Yamaha RT180 (USA only 1990 – 1998)
- Yamaha IT175 (1977-1979)
- Yamaha DT175 A,B,C Twin Shock, later models (after 1974?)
Magnet based generator with integrated fully electronic ignition. Output at 12V/180W DC, rotor weight 1.1 kg (38 oz).
Solid state ignition with own power supply from within the system. Replaces the original 6V.
No changes on engine housing necessary. The system is technically capable of running without battery.

- all parts are new
- more light output
- very stable ignition with solid spark
- better starting, better fuel burning
- no wear anymore on points
