electronic ignition system for BMW R20

Magnet based generator with integrated solid state ignition. Output at 12V/100W DC.
Ignition with own power supply from within the system. Replaces the complete original 6 Volts dynamo and regulator.
The system may be used without battery.
 

Notes:

• The holes for attaching the Bakelite dome are included for early versions (red arrows). For later versions, the holes must be drilled later (green arrows) and existing holes have to be sealed. If this sealing is done with screws, these screws must never protrude on the inside to avoid any contact with the rotor! An adhesive lock (e.g. Loctite) is also recommended here.
• The exit of the wiring harness has to be enlarged.
• The system requires about 300 rpm to start the engine, which means, it needs a strong kick !
