electronic ignition system for BMW /6 and /7

generator & ignition for classic 2 valve BMW /6 and /7 motorcycles such as R45, R75/7

Magnet based generator with integrated solid state ignition. Output 12V/190W DC. Maintenance free, electronic ignition with own power supply from within the system. Replaces the stock 12V alternator (including diode plate and regulator) as well as all ignition parts, be it points or hall element. No modifications on engine housing needed. You may use the dynamo without battery.

Notes:

Base diameter 107mm - please check here ! - for diameter 105mm System 70 67 999 00 has to be ordered!
Larger cc BMW with older e-starter might have starting problems with our systems. The starter does not reach the needed starting revs, the engine does not start. Push started it will however start
does not support any existing electronic revolution counter, alternatives have to be installed (not available here, but see our tips)
system is not suitable for BMW after the 2 valve series
not suitable for R100
not for BMW with lightened flywheel
